We wouldn’t be at the cutting-edge of online sports gambling without a talented technology team. Our Retail Team, based in Leeds, is responsible for all aspects of William Hill’s in-store technology, with a focus on integrating the online experience into over 1400 retail shops across the UK.

Using your previous experience as a Java Developer, your role is to keep our colleagues and customers connected by updating our existing platform and systems, ensuring they have access to cutting-edge technology at their fingertips.

We’re adopting AWS at scale and releasing high-volume system upgrades across our shops. From the Cloud to tangible ground technology, we cover it all.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will ensure the delivery of value to colleagues and customers while maintaining best practices, coding standards, and team improvements.

What you will be doing:

1. Implementing and documenting solutions collaboratively with Developers, Testers, and Solution Architects.
2. Ensuring the integrity of the software and managing technical debt with Site Reliability teams.
3. Supporting the development of best practices and standards, and ensuring adherence.
4. Collaborating on technical and non-technical requirements with Product Owners.
5. Working with Delivery Managers on project delivery.
6. Engaging in Pair Programming, code reviews, and providing constructive feedback.
7. Working with QA to align tests with solutions and supporting CI & release pipelines.
