Job summary

Informed Solutions seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to own delivery of end-to-end digital solutions for public sector projects. You will lead architecture, guide teams, and ensure robust, scalable deployments using .NET, Java, Python, and JS frameworks.

You will collaborate with Delivery Managers, mentor engineers, and participate in agile planning to mitigate risks and drive value for complex client environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Full Stack Engineering role with modern languages.
• Proven delivery of services or major components across full lifecycle.
• Strong grasp of architectural patterns including serverless and microservices.
• Experience in Agile environments; Scrum/Kanban and TDD beneficial.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and drive quality delivery.

What you'll do

• Own delivery of services: Take responsibility for the engineering and delivery of small-to-medium services (or major components of larger services) across the full lifecycle, from design and build through to deployment, operation and continual improvement
• Lead on architecture and design: Take ownership of the end-to-end design of components or services, producing and maintaining high-quality documentation.
• Support delivery planning: Partner with Delivery Managers to plan and structure technical activities, provide accurate and commercially sound estimates, and proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, issues and dependencies
• Build stakeholder trust: Act as a trusted technical advisor to client counterparts, partner organisations and third parties, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years' proven experience in a Full Stack Engineering role, with advanced skills in .NET, Java or Python, plus modern JavaScript libraries
• Experience taking ownership of delivery for services or significant components across the full lifecycle from design to operation
• Strong understanding of architectural and design patterns, including serverless and microservices, with the ability to lead and assure their application
• Experience working in Agile environments, using Scrum, Kanban and test-driven development (TDD), and contributing to delivery planning and estimation
• Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers, providing guidance and enabling high quality, efficient delivery

It would be great if you also have

• Experience working in a consultancy environment, engaging with external stakeholders and clients
• Exposure to public sector projects and delivering solutions in complex organisational landscapes
