Rayo, part of the UBDS group, is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to provide technical leadership across the design, development, and delivery of cloud-native applications hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role demands a high level of technical acumen, including advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for back-end development and React or Angular for front-end implementation. The successful candidate will guide technical teams, shape solution architecture, and promote secure-by-design principles throughout the delivery lifecycle.

This role is ideal for experienced professionals who can balance hands-on technical delivery with mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and the enforcement of best practices across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of scalable full-stack applications on AWS.
  • Architect robust and secure solutions leveraging core AWS services and modern development patterns.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and promoting a high-quality engineering culture.
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD automation and secure code standards.
  • Review technical designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement through retrospectives, knowledge sharing, and community of practice involvement.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in Java and Spring Boot for back-end development.
  • Advanced front-end development experience with React or Angular.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS services across compute, networking, and application layers.
  • Experience designing secure and scalable architectures in cloud-native environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in mentoring technical teams and leading by example.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • At least 2 years’ experience delivering production applications in AWS environments.
  • Previous roles involving solution architecture and stakeholder advisory.
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional are advantageous.
