Job summary

Fastbreak AI is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and ship high-performance web apps using React/Next.js on the frontend and Node.js/Express on the backend. You’ll own architectural decisions, mentor peers, and partner with product managers to shape requirements end-to-end.

You won’t just work from a queue; you’ll decide what to build, how, and why, shaping the product’s technical direction in a fast-growing sports-tech startup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building scalable web apps with React/Next.js and Node.js/Express.
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and CI/CD processes.
• Ability to articulate tradeoffs and defend architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, and Express.
• Own architectural decisions and articulate the reasoning and tradeoffs behind them.
• Integrate AI and LLM-powered features into production apps with reliability and user impact in mind.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to shape technical requirements from ground up.
• Diagnose and resolve complex bugs across the full stack.
• Champion engineering best practices and help define how the team works at its best.
