Matchtech Mobility is seeking a Senior Fuel Cell Engineer to drive LTPEM fuel cell system integration and propulsion concepts in the aerospace sector. You will lead supplier activities, support testing, and maintain comprehensive requirements and design docs.

The role demands strong systems engineering experience in safety-critical environments, PEM fuel cell knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across programmes.

Qualifications

• Strong systems engineering experience in aerospace or safety-critical environments.
• Understanding PEM fuel cell electrochemistry and performance drivers.
• Experience integrating PEM fuel cell stacks into complex systems (transport/aerospace).
• Experience resolving fuel cell integration across interfaces and balance-of-plant systems.
• Experience analyzing PEM fuel cell test data for health, degradation, and failures.
• Experience developing and managing aerospace safety-critical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier management and development for LTPEM fuel cell systems, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Act as the technical expert for LTPEM fuel cells and support design reviews for interfaces and systems.
• Support test teams in diagnosing and resolving fuel cell performance issues during development.
• Own and maintain fuel cell system documentation and design records.
• Apply systems engineering to fuel cell and electric propulsion system development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and stakeholders for project delivery.
