Agntx is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend emphasis) to work on a public-facing government digital service built around the GOV.UK Design System. The role involves React/Node frontend work and a Java backend, with the service running in a Spring Boot/Dropwizard environment and templates in Nunjucks/Freemarker.

Remote work with occasional travel to Manchester; six-month initial engagement, start ASAP. Daily rate £500 inside IR35.

Competenze

Frontend templating and styling frameworks — Nunjucks, Freemarker, Bootstrap, LESS and SASS.
Working Java 11, including Spring Boot, Dropwizard, Jersey, CXF and Maven.
CI tooling and quality gates — Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins and SonarQube
Comfortable in a service with a Java backend rather than a pure frontend codebase
UK central government delivery — essential on this programme.

Mansioni

Work in Nunjucks against the GOV.UK Design System, and in Freemarker where the Java layer templates
Develop in ReactJS and Node.js across the service
Work into the Java 11 service layer — Spring Boot, Dropwizard, Jersey, CXF and Maven
Manage styling at scale with Bootstrap, LESS and SASS
Own your code through the pipeline — Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins and SonarQube quality gates
Work alongside backend engineers, designers, content and user research in a multidisciplinary team
