Job summary

Caribou is hiring a full-stack engineer focused on frontend craft to turn dense, intercompany tax data into clear, actionable interfaces. You’ll work with our CTO, lead engineer and tax team to own features end-to-end, from UI through backend migrations, with a strong emphasis on UX for finance leaders.

Expect to shape the design system, build data-heavy views and collaborate across product, design and tax. A hybrid in London or SF presence is required, with strong TypeScript/Next.js experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production web applications with frontend focus.
• Demonstrable UI craft with attention to spacing, hierarchy and states.
• Experience presenting complex or data-heavy information clearly (dashboards, tables).
• Comfort writing API and migrations; full-stack capability preferred.
• Strong SQL (Postgres) with ORMs, queries and migrations.
• Excellent communication, able to translate CFO/tax needs into specs.

Responsibilities

• Turn complex tax concepts into intuitive interfaces.
• Collaborate with tax team to shape requirements and own features end-to-end.
• Own and evolve design system and component library.
• Build data-dense views like entity graphs and intercompany flows.
• Focus on customer experience; proactively raise issues and fixes.
• Ship quickly and define what 'shipped' means.
