Job summary

Maxwell Bond is partnering with a Liverpool-based technology business to hire a front-end engineer. You’ll help shape the first engineering squad, building scalable, customer-facing web apps with React, TypeScript and Next.js.

You will work with Product and Design to create engaging experiences, support testing practices, and contribute to DevOps and observability efforts in a hybrid Liverpool City Centre setting.

• Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with Next.js.

Job description

We’re working with a successful technology business in Liverpool that continues to grow year on year. They’re building a brand new engineering team to develop a new generation of customer-facing products.

You’ll join at an early stage and play a key role in shaping the front end, working closely with Product and Design to create scalable, engaging user experiences.

The engineering team follows modern development practices, with a strong focus on testing, TDD, observability, monitoring and DevOps. You’ll have the freedom to contribute to technical decisions and help establish best practices across the new platform.

The role

You’ll build scalable web applications using React, TypeScript and Next.js, working alongside experienced engineers across the wider product team.
