Job summary

Candour seeks a Senior Developer to own frontend architecture in a modern digital transformation programme. You will work autonomously within a collaborative team to refactor and modernise an existing business-facing platform using React, Next.js, and Node.js.

You will lead key frontend initiatives, implement Server Components/Actions, optimise performance, and ensure scalable, maintainable UI solutions in a hybrid UK-based role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering frontend refactors or major modernisation projects.
• Experience delivering frontend applications integrated with APIs/backends.
• Ability to own technical decisions and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Integrate frontend with an OpenAPI-driven Node.js backend.
• Lead frontend refactor using Next.js App Router and Server Components/Actions.
• Develop scalable UI components with React and Next.js.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align frontend with API contracts.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and technical decision-making.
