Job summary

Lorien in London is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a high-performing Front Office technology team within a leading global investment banking environment. The role focuses on mission-critical electronic trading platforms for FX and Fixed Income, delivering scalable, low-latency applications used by traders, sales teams and clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• Extensive software development experience within enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with front-end and back-end tech including HTML5, CSS, Angular and C# / .NET or Java.
• Experience with real-time streaming data and low-latency systems.
• Knowledge of RxJS or Reactive Extensions.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and TDD / automated testing.
• Experience in Front Office Trading / Investment Banking with FX or rates knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance front-office trading applications.
• Participate in an Agile SDLC with analysis, development, testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with product owners, traders and support teams.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technology direction.
• Build and maintain backend services using .NET/C# or Java.
• Deliver real-time market data processing and low-latency solutions.
• Support platform modernization and migration initiatives.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct peer reviews.
• Assist in releases and production support.
• Drive improvements in development practices and tooling.
