Citi is seeking a motivated Front-end Web Developer to join our development team in Belfast. You will work with React on the frontend and Java on the backend to build, test, and maintain web applications.

This role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to grow in a global financial technology setting. You'll join a team delivering complex fintech solutions with modern tooling, participate in code reviews, and contribute to end-to-end development while adopting best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Commercial experience with React.js, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and Git.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of SQL databases and OOP concepts.
• Experience with Spring Boot and TypeScript is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user interfaces using React.js.
• Build and support backend services using Java and related frameworks.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
• Debug and resolve application issues.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver features.
• Create and execute unit and integration tests.
• Assist with database design and queries.
• Learn and apply software development best practices.
