Job description

As a Senior Front End Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing a high-impact, user-facing web application that powers thousands of events annually. Working within a fully remote team aligned to Eastern Time, you'll take ownership of front-end architecture, design elegant solutions to complex problems, and mentor teammates in best practices. You'll be part of a collaborative, innovation-driven culture that values performance, quality, and delivering meaningful user experiences through modern web technologies.

Accountabilities:

  • Enhance and scale a responsive web app that supports features like real-time content updates and offline access.
  • Own development workflows from design to deployment, including test automation and performance monitoring.
  • Architect clean, scalable solutions using modern design principles to support thousands of deployments annually.
  • Collaborate across the team to implement features like video meetings, breakout rooms, and chat tools.
  • Champion quality and performance while mentoring peers and contributing to an evolving design system.
  • Work with a modern stack including React, Redux, React-Query, Material UI, and Vite/Webpack.
  • 7+ years of experience as a developer, including 3+ years working with JavaScript/TypeScript and the React ecosystem.
  • Strong background in architecting and debugging large-scale codebases.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSX, ES2020+, HTML/CSS, and design systems (Material UI/Ant Design).
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Bonus points for experience with React-Query, mobile development (Capacitor/Cordova/React Native), Docker, AWS, or CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Competitive salary between $55,000–$65,000 CAD based on experience.
