Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Front End Developer to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, and other team members to develop digital products that meet business requirements. Your responsibilities include ensuring code quality and standards, optimizing performance, suggesting upgrades, contributing to shared component libraries, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop interfaces for web and mobile applications, creating reusable code and libraries.
• Design and articulate end-to-end architecture and non-functional requirements.
• Take ownership of the frontend platform.
• Follow Agile processes and frameworks.
• Implement best practices such as TDD, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Design flexible, configurable software components.
• Produce secure, maintainable, and efficient code.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in front-end development with TypeScript and React; knowledge of Next.js/Angular/Vue.js is beneficial.
• Experience with React Native is a plus.
• Experience with Jest for unit testing.
• Knowledge of GraphQL with React, Docker, and backend technologies like Java/Python/NodeJS is advantageous.
• Passion for coding and staying updated with new technologies.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
