Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Freshwater Ecology Growth Lead to shape the growth, capability and delivery performance of the freshwater ecology practice. You will work with senior leaders to grow market presence, develop client relationships and ensure technical excellence across rivers, wetlands, lakes and aquatic environments.

Qualifications

Proven track record leading teams through growth or transformation.
Extensive experience in freshwater ecology and the UK environmental sector.
Experience on major infrastructure projects and navigating complex consenting regimes.
Strong knowledge of UK freshwater ecology legislation, policy and best practice.
Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and identify new opportunities.
Experience supporting bids, frameworks or strategic project growth.
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver growth strategy for freshwater ecology aligned with business priorities.
Identify market opportunities, emerging trends and future client needs.
Build a strong pipeline across infrastructure, water, energy and transport sectors.
Lead strategic bids, framework opportunities and major pursuits.
Provide trusted advisory support to clients and stakeholders.
Shape practical, proportionate ecological solutions in early client discussions.
Develop new service offerings and contribute to thought leadership.
