Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years' progressively complex transportation systems experience in logistics.
• Minimum of three years' freight audit and payment experience.
• Knowledge of shipping modes, tariffs, pricing, discounts.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate carrier requests and client systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills in Excel and Access.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret carrier freight contracts and audit invoice payment information.
• Research and identify invoices not in compliance with pricing and service agreements.
• Investigate potential errors and duplicate carrier billing.
• Audit carrier freight bills and interpret tariffs and contracts.
• Audit beyond specific tools/reports by applying auditing experience and diverse claim approaches.
• Communicate with carriers and clients to address audit-related issues.
• Understand essential freight documentation supporting charges invoices and payment.
• Help develop audit plans and data requirements with audit management and IT.
• Perform quality control audits behind less experienced analysts.
• Assist in client reporting and document audit processes.
• Share best practices and provide training for junior staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
