Senior FP&A Business Partner Department Finance-BG-UK Overview of Department Purpose of Role Reporting into the Head of FP&A, you will support in the development of financial reports, forecasts, business cases and analysis to support performance improvement and decision making. Working with the other team members this is an excellent opportunity to drive change and help shape the direction of travel in an area that is of strategic importance to the firm. Responsibilities
- Finance business partnering to stakeholders and development of financial insight to support decision making. Have a solid understanding of how the overall firm works and the areas of the firm you support to understand key drivers that impact financial outcomes, providing challenge where appropriate.
- Pro-actively bring together history, actuals, trends and forecasts, as well as both financial and non-financial data to provide high quality data driven analysis with a commercial viewpoint.
- Create, monitor and analyse key financial and operational metrics to support firm initiatives, including scenario analysis and early identification of risks and opportunities to enable a pro-active approach.
Delivery of FP&A related objectives, including but not limited to:
- Group-level financial information to the partners and relevant senior committees.
- Develop Financial reports and analysis for regional business groups, heads of department and key stakeholders.
- Lead on decision support for business initiatives.
- Utilise long-term financial planning models, including appropriate scenario development, for input into business planning and capital and liquidity projections
- Collaborate closely with the teams within Finance to ensure appropriate legal entity, regulatory and partnership matters are considered in financial planning, and ensure joined up thinking and one finance approach.
- Drive change in both FP&A and Finance ensuring best practice, continuous improvements and developing innovative solutions to the way we work, alongside our digital competency framework.
- Ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of outputs.
- Role model the behaviours expected of members of the FP&A team and Finance department.
Your Knowledge and Experience:
- We don’t necessarily require a qualified accountant, but we are looking for evidence of being financial savvy and having an interest in and understanding of finance. Qualifications such as CIMA, ACA, CA etc. preferable.
- Delivery of presentations to senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and guiding through business cases. Providing direction and challenge where required.
- Evidence strong business and financial acumen as well as commercial decision making in relation to the key drivers impacting an organisation.
