Job summary

Tala Ltd. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance. You''ll be embedded with the teams you support, turning numbers into a story that helps the business make better, faster and more accurate decisions.

The ideal candidate thrives on explaining the why behind performance and can articulate insights to non-finance colleagues. You''ll be central to translating complex data into clear actions for leadership.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified in an accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
• A proactive and commercially focused mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• A solid understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels, cutting down on financial jargon to deliver outputs and actions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a finance partner across the business, building relationships that make you the first call when someone needs to understand the financial impact of a decision.
• Work across Finance, Merch and Ops to help embed the new IMS (Cin7) and bring inventory, margin and availability into effective reporting and action orientated analysis.
• Support budget-holders through the budgeting and reforecasting cycle, helping them build realistic yet stretching numbers with buy in and detailed plans to achieve them.
• Own regular reporting and variance analysis, going beyond the "what" to the "why", identifying the real drivers behind performance and what they mean for the weeks / months ahead.
• Build and maintain models and dashboards that surface trends early rather than confirming them late.
• Turn analysis into clear, well-designed outputs that leadership can act on.
• Lead Budget and reforecasting cycles that deliver against our Financial Strategy.
• Help evolve our forecasting and budgeting processes as the business scales.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis, modelling, and presentations to support senior stakeholder and executive decision-making.
