Consultant | Interim & Contract Finance, Banking & Financial Services

Investigo is partnering with a leading financial services group looking for an experienced commercial accountant to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present the global Front Office reporting model and monthly Executive Management packs.
• Analyse regional brokerage compensation, identifying and explaining key monthly movements in conjunction with Broker Compensation and Business Management teams.
• Partner with Business Managers to monitor and improve profitability across desks, providing financial insight and commentary.
• Conduct performance reviews of underperforming desks and work with stakeholders to implement cost-control and turnaround measures.
• Evaluate new business initiatives including investments, acquisitions, and new hires, analyzing their financial viability and path to profitability.
• Collaborate on planning cycles, preparing forecasts that project anticipated front office performance.
• Review and validate support function cost allocations in partnership with the Group FP&A team to ensure accuracy in the fully loaded front office P&L.
• Lead improvements to Finance MI reporting, including the development of broker productivity metrics and integration of employee-level data.
• Support the adoption and enhancement of Tableau as the team’s primary reporting tool, building dashboards and visual reports to improve data accessibility.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting to senior management and the front office, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA Qualified from a Top 10 Practice is highly desirable)
• Strong financial analysis and business partnering experience, ideally within investment banking or financial services.
• Excellent Excel and data modeling skills; Tableau experience is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of front office activities and drivers of profitability.
• Experience in MI/reporting improvement initiatives and systems adoption.
