Job summary

Scale is building AI applications for the public sector worldwide. As a Forward Deployed Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll collaborate with public sector teams to rapidly deliver full-stack AI solutions, turning complex requirements into robust architectures and meaningful citizen outcomes.

You’ll shape technical roadmaps, guide production-grade systems, ensure security and global scalability, and mentor engineers across the organization while turning field insights into reusable patterns.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent deep industry experience in architecting complex distributed systems.
• 10+ years of full-stack experience with Python, Node.js and React.
• Experience designing high-scale architectures on Kubernetes and global clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy for public sector engagements and translate requirements into robust architectural roadmaps.
• Architect production-grade AI applications, integrating interactive UIs, backend systems and AI models at scale.
• Guide the evolution of cloud infrastructure for security, global scalability and long-term system integrity.
• Direct the development of core platforms and shared services to solve cross-cutting client needs.
• Mentor senior and junior staff and align products with a cohesive long-term architecture.
• Bridge field learnings into reusable patterns to accelerate engineering velocity.
