Job summary

Nutreco's Trouw Nutrition in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Formulations Manager to lead a team of 6 Formulators, directing premix and mineral formulation, quality, and cost‑effective outcomes.

You’ll manage formulation systems such as Bestmix, M3 and SAP, partner with Sales, Technical and Marketing to develop customised feed solutions, and drive continuous improvement through data‑driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4+ years of experience in formulation, feed manufacturing or animal nutrition.
• Previous people management or team leadership experience.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with formulation systems such as Bestmix would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Formulators.
• Drive cross‑functional projects focused on operational excellence.
• Lead formulation activities ensuring products meet nutritional standards and cost targets.
• Manage formulation systems and databases (Bestmix, M3, SAP) and ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical and Marketing to develop customised feed solutions.
• Forecast raw materials, model costs and support purchasing decisions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through audits and data analysis.
• Ensure product labelling complies with regulatory requirements.
