Job summary

EY UK is seeking a skilled data analytics professional to join the Forensics & Integrity Services’ Forensic Data Analytics team in London. You will apply data science, analytics and visualization to support fraud prevention, investigations and financial crime projects for financial services clients.

You’ll work end-to-end across data extraction, modelling, deployment and client delivery, mentoring juniors, and collaborating with auditors, lawyers and regulators.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM or equivalent work experience.
• Fraud experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory and/or Databricks, and visualization techniques.
• Awareness of other programming languages such as R, C#, JavaScript.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with financial services clients and regulators across sensitive projects.
• Scope projects with clients and gather requirements.
• Explain analytics outputs in business context.
• Lead end-to-end delivery: ETL, analysis, visualization, deployment and client delivery.
• Handle large structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
• Perform data analysis using Python, SQL and Power BI.
• Supervise junior team members and ensure quality of work.
• Develop algorithms to detect and investigate fraud and financial crime.
• Create visualization materials to communicate analysis benefits.
• Coordinate with technology, innovation and business development teams.
