Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Practitioner Psychologist (Forensic or Clinical) to provide leadership and specialist psychological expertise across two established forensic services.

You will support individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism presenting with complex trauma, offending behaviours and forensic risks, and work with those affected by mental illness or personality disorder who have offended or are at risk of offending.

Qualifications

• Experienced Practitioner Psychologist (Forensic or Clinical) to provide leadership and specialist psychological expertise across two established forensic services.
• Support people with learning disabilities and/or autism who present with complex trauma, offending behaviours and forensic risks.
• Work with individuals affected by mental illness and/or personality disorder who have offended, or who present a risk of offending.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and risk management.
• Offer expert consultation and advice to multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Lead on complex forensic and clinical cases across both services.
• Supervise and support psychology colleagues, trainees and wider team members.
• Contribute to service development, research, audit and innovation.
• Help develop psychologically informed approaches that improve outcomes and reduce risk.
