  • Drive continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies, processes, and data inputs to ensure high levels of accuracy and commercial value.
  • Partner with internal senior stakeholders, investors, commercial teams, airline partners, and external consultants to validate forecasts and support business decision-making.
  • Lead scenario modelling for a range of operational and strategic risks including weather disruptions, industrial action, and global macroeconomic events.
  • Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to the Executive team, Board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering the development of best-in-class capability within the forecasting function.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and externally to bring in leading-edge thinking, new data sources, and innovative modelling techniques.

Candidate Profile:

  • Educated to degree level in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Engineering) with additional training in forecasting, econometrics, or statistics an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of the aviation, transport, or infrastructure sector, with strong commercial awareness and interest in global economic trends.
  • Proven experience delivering impactful forecasts that influence business strategy and improve processes or policy.
  • Excellent judgement with the ability to interpret incomplete or uncertain data to support commercial decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to present complex data and insights to senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills; proficient in PowerBI and other MS O365 tools.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R is advantageous; an appetite for developing technical expertise in modern forecasting tools is essential.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and leveraging data science to drive better business outcomes.
