We are looking for a Food Safety Officer or Environmental Health Officer to join our busy food team working with a wide variety of commercial and retail food businesses. This is a career graded post and is open to experienced individuals within the field as well as those soon to be qualified.
Your role will be focussed on ensuring that excellent regulatory and advisory services are provided for the food businesses based within our City. You will be closely involved with the usual environmental health functions of infectious diseases work, food complaints, advice to new food businesses, together with approvals of food businesses and inspection of food premises. As an experienced practitioner you will be expected to lead on the more complex cases dealt with by the authority and provide appropriate support to other officers in the team.
