Job Title: Site Technical Manager (Temporary Fixed-Term Role)
We are seeking a skilled Site Technical Manager to support our operations. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring site technical requirements are met, deputise for the Site Technical Manager when necessary, and work closely with the Site Management Team, Operations, and Engineering to uphold standards and meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all customer and third-party audits exceed requirements.
- Supporting product quality and traceability using internal audit systems.
- Ensuring new systems and technology meet customer requirements professionally.
- Streamlining reporting, process control, and monitoring systems within the factory.
- Coordinating FS&QM operations and ensuring technical requirements are met on site.
- Maintaining site technical integrity and supporting the Site Technical Manager.
- Maintaining HACCP criteria for the site.
- Deputising for the Site Technical Manager as needed.
- Supporting group initiatives and projects within technical and general business areas.
- Monitoring and controlling environmental impacts, ensuring team awareness of responsibilities per the Pilgrims Europe Group Risk Management System Manual.
- Adhering to Health & Safety policies outlined in the Health & Safety and Environmental Responsibilities DCN 2586.
- Performing any other duties necessary for the role.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
- Experience in quality management and the food industry.
- Experience with major retail multiples.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proven team leadership qualities.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and assertive with initiative.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene.
- Approachable, with a focus on team development and individual aspirations.
- Training, project management, and coaching skills.
- Experience with chilled food, agri-fresh, and high-risk products.
- Advanced Diploma in Applied HACCP Principles.
This is a temporary role on a fixed-term contract.
