Job summary

Acorn by Synergie in Bristol is seeking a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer or Senior Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer to join a multidisciplinary civil engineering consultancy. You will prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies for diverse developments, liaising with clients, local authorities and design teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

A relevant bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
Experience in preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports for planning applications.
Experience designing drainage schemes using InfoDrainage and/or MicroDrainage.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies for developments.
Design drainage systems using InfoDrainage and/or MicroDrainage.
Liaise with clients, local authorities and design teams and communicate technical advice clearly.
Lead and mentor junior team members (Senior role) and manage project delivery.
Contribute to business development and client engagement.
