Job description
Overview

My Client, a market leading specialist UK based Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their team. This is a remote role with projects based across the South West. Candidates are required to have a MSc and BSc in a relevant discipline including Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Hydrology or GIS and have experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments and Drainage Strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Be confident individuals to manage projects, mentor and check technical designs. It is beneficial for applicants to live in the South West.
  • Complete varied residential, industrial, renewable energy, wetland and re-wilding projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities, Highways and Housing Developers.
  • Check technical work, mentor team members and complete the following: Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications; Surface Water Management Plans; Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications; Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS; Environmental Impact Assessments; Water Quality Assessments.
  • Project Management and Client meetings to discuss project development and to develop new business opportunities. You will be expected to work remotely.
Qualifications
  • MSc and BSc in a relevant discipline including Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Hydrology or GIS.
  • Experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
  • Ability to manage projects, mentor team members and check technical work.
  • Remote-working capability; living in the South West is beneficial.
