Job Title: Senior Hydraulic Modeller

My Client, a market-leading Environmental Consultancy based in Chester, is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join their supportive team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and experience working for a UK-based consultancy specializing in flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.

Residency in the local area is beneficial as the role requires working from the office occasionally.

The role involves working on varied projects including residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and mixed-use developments for both private and public sector clients.

The main responsibilities include:

1. Hydraulic modelling and model build using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
2. Conducting flood risk assessments, flood consequence assessments, and nutrient neutrality assessments.
3. Performing hydrological assessments and developing drainage strategies.
4. Implementing natural flood management techniques.
5. Flood risk mapping and estimation.
6. Supporting new team members and reviewing technical flood risk and complex hydraulic modelling.
7. Engaging with private sector clients and local authorities to develop opportunities and ensure project delivery within time and budget.

Work from the local office is required, with occasional home working available.
