Job Description

My client, a specialist UK-based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant based in Leeds. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Modelling, and experience completing flood risk assessments. It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience with drainage strategies and a keen interest in climate change and nutrient neutrality.

As a Senior Flood Risk Consultant, you will join a specialist flood risk team in Leeds to work on varied projects including residential, retail, industrial, renewable energy, and climate change initiatives for both public and private sector clients, including Insurance Companies. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting Flood Risk Assessments
2. Performing Flood Risk Due Diligence for Real Estate
3. Flood Estimation using ReFH and Winfap
4. Rainfall, Weather, and Wildfire Analysis
5. Preparing Hydrology and Environmental Chapters for EIAs
6. Assessing Nutrient Neutrality
7. Developing Property Flood Resilience strategies
8. Designing Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications
9. Preparing bid proposals and tenders
10. Managing projects
11. Participating in client meetings to discuss project development
