Job summary

Windracers Ltd invites applications for a Flight Test Engineer role focused on planning, executing, and reporting flight and ground tests to verify performance against requirements. You will own test areas, develop plans, instrument setups, and ensure safety and governance compliance.

Responsibilities include test readiness coordination, data analysis, reporting, anomaly management, and collaboration with Flight Operations and Maintenance. Eligible UK work and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical/Systems Engineering.
• Relevant flight test or test support experience in an aviation context.
• Experience authoring test plans/procedures and delivering test reports/evidence.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements-to-test traceability for assigned systems/features.
• Develop and author flight/ground test plans, procedures, instrumentation plans; drive reviews and approvals.
• Lead day-to-day test readiness activities: aircraft config control, instrumentation fit, calibration, data setup.
• Support test execution in operational roles and maintain safety discipline.
• Analyze test data; produce plots, statistics, and engineering conclusions; suggest improvements.
• Produce test reports and verification evidence for release-to-service decisions.
• Manage anomalies end-to-end: document findings, coordinate troubleshooting, re-test plans.
