Job summary

CAE Crawley is seeking an experienced Simulator Technician IV to maintain high availability of flight simulators at our Gatwick-area facility. You will troubleshoot complex systems, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct pre/post-flight checks to ensure service readiness.

The role requires diagnosing faults across multiple simulator platforms, maintaining documentation, and contributing to refurbishment and upgrades. A technical degree and strong English are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years in simulator maintenance or similar role.
• Fluency in English and clear communication.
• Ability to troubleshoot across multiple simulator platforms.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with electronic and mechanical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot simulator systems to isolate faults and restore readiness.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedules and procedures.
• Run pre-flight and post-flight checks for serviceability.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Support qualification testing and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect, adjust, calibrate, and repair simulator gear.
• Act as SME for major simulator subsystems (motion, visuals, aircraft systems).
• Support refurbishment, upgrades, and improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping compliance.
