The ideal Senior Fleet Mechanic will maintain and repair company equipment from vehicles, cranes, boats, and trailers to small engine repair. Repairs are performed on-site as well as in the shop.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Small engine, vehicle, diesel engine, and boat repair, and general repair on company equipment.

Maintain Shop and all tools and equipment utilized in repair.

Inspect equipment regularly.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Small engine, gasoline engine, diesel engine, and boat repair knowledge

Ability to work with hand tools and power tools

Education and Experience:

3-5 years experience required as a mechanic preferably in the construction industry

Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines as well as small engine repair

Valid Drivers License

5-7 years experience as a mechanic with at least 2 years in marine construction desired

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.

Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.

Exposure to construction and marine site dangers.

Ability to work in small and/or enclosed spaces.

Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Operating machinery and/or power tools

Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

Work in extreme weather conditions.

Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.

Ability to respond quickly to sounds and noisy environments.

Able to traverse all areas of the jobsite in all types of weather; this may require walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
