Job Description:

Our client is a leading design, engineering, and manufacturing company specializing in the medical industry based in Ashford, Kent. Due to increased demand, they are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics/Firmware Engineer to join their team.

Duties:

1. Support R&D project work.
2. Take responsibility for the electronics and firmware design of products from concept through to production, considering requirements, timescales, costs, and regulatory constraints.
3. Embedded programming experience in ‘C’, VHDL.
4. Knowledge of C++, .NET, C#, Java, Python, or algorithm development is an advantage.
5. Experience within a Design or R&D department.
6. Knowledge of CAD for schematic capture and PCB layout.
7. Demonstrate a can-do attitude, inquisitiveness, and willingness to undertake tasks necessary for the project.
8. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, with good presentation skills.
9. Ability to handle other system elements within a project, such as thermals and optics, is advantageous.
10. Experience in the medical industry is an advantage.
11. Hands-on, self-motivated, willing to learn and contribute to the evolution of the R&D department.
