Job summary

Progroup Recruitment Limited is seeking a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Estimator/Designer in the UK to own the estimating process and support project design alongside managers and engineers.

You will prepare estimates, tender submissions, and assist with design reviews, with scope for career progression into management as the division grows. This role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and leadership within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating projects and tender processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and commercial proposals for commercial fire sprinkler projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender docs to determine project requirements.
• Quantify sprinkler heads, pipework, fittings and materials.
• Carry out site surveys and assessments where required.
• Calculate project costs and assess contract values.
• Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Prepare tender submissions, technical proposals and supporting documentation.
• Assist with sprinkler design and technical drawing reviews where applicable.
• Ensure estimates comply with project specs and industry standards.
• Support and mentor junior team members and trainees.
• Take on leadership and managerial responsibilities as the department grows.
