Job summary

Magenta International is seeking a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Estimator/Designer to join our growing sprinkler division in West Sussex/Rochester, Kent. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, review drawings, and support tendering processes for commercial sprinkler installations.

Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will work with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors, mentor trainees, and, with experience, take on managerial responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Proficiency with CAD software and sprinkler design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and commercial proposals for commercial fire sprinkler projects.
• Review technical specifications, drawings and tender documents to establish project requirements.
• Measure and quantify sprinkler heads, pipework, fittings and materials.
• Carry out site surveys and assessments where required.
• Calculate project costs and assess contract values.
• Issue enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors for quotations.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers through estimating and tendering.
• Prepare tender documentation, submittals, proposals and presentations.
• Assist with sprinkler system design and review of technical drawings.
