Job summary

UK Sprinklers Ltd. is seeking a Senior Sprinkler Design Engineer to join the Bolton/Bury‑based design team. This senior role combines hands-on design, project coordination and technical leadership, with responsibility for developing the existing team.

The role focuses on Residential & Domestic sprinkler systems, including Wet & Dry Risers, with some commercial work. You will work predominantly in an office setting, reporting directly to the business owners.

Qualifications

Significant experience in fire sprinkler design.
Knowledge of residential and domestic sprinkler design including BS 9251/EN 12845.
Experience with wet and dry riser design advantageous.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and hydraulic calculation software.

Responsibilities

Design and develop Residential & Domestic sprinkler and Wet & Dry Riser systems.
Produce detailed AutoCAD and Revit 3D drawings.
Undertake hydraulic calculations to meet standards.
Coordinate designs with clients, consultants, and builders.
Oversee design elements from inception to completion with Project Managers.
Mentor and develop junior designers in the team.
Attend site/design meetings and resolve technical issues.
Help develop and improve design processes and standards.
