Job summary

Orbit Group is seeking an experienced fire safety leader to head our Fire Safety Team and shape how Orbit manages fire safety across our homes. You’ll lead the delivery of the Fire Safety Management Plan, oversee fire risk assessments, remedial actions and compliance programmes, and provide clear assurance to senior leaders and the Board.

This senior role within the Property directorate offers a real opportunity to influence practice, work with external partners and drive continuous improvements

Qualifications

• Strong fire safety experience in a senior leadership role within housing or regulated environments.
• Proven delivery of complex compliance programmes and risk management.
• Membership of a recognised body (IFE/IFSM/CABE/CIOB) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Orbit's Fire Safety Management Plan and compliance programmes.
• Act as senior technical fire safety adviser, guiding across the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with Fire Safety orders, acts and building regs, with governance oversight.
• Manage Fire Risk Assessment programmes and prioritise actions with competent teams.
• Collaborate with Fire and Rescue Services and other stakeholders; participate in on-call rota.
