Job summary

Kiwa UK is seeking a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to lead external wall risk assessments and advisory services within our Fire Risk Management team. You’ll review designs, perform site surveys, and apply PAS 9980 to deliver concise reports for diverse stakeholders.

The role includes project leadership, client liaison, and travel across the UK, with progression opportunities toward line management and professional registration.

Qualifications

• Degree in fire engineering or related discipline.
• Progress towards CEng or IEng status.
• Experience with external wall appraisals and remediation.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects, budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead external wall risk appraisals and related work to agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Review drawings and specifications for external walls for fire safety compliance.
• Assess external wall construction using PAS 9980 methodology and prepare technical reports.
• Provide high-level technical support to clients and colleagues.
• Travel to sites as required and manage client relationships.
