Job summary

Carriera Limited, a leading multidisciplinary built-environment consultancy, is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer or Fire Consultant to support External Wall System assessments, including FRAEW and EWS1 reporting, across residential and mixed-use developments.

You will join an established fire and building safety team focusing on the fire performance of façades, collaborating with surveyors, engineers and project teams to deliver proportionate risk-based advice in line with current guidance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering FRAEW and/or EWS1 assessments.
• Knowledge of PAS 9980, EWS1, and Approved Document B.
• Ability to assess cladding systems, insulation, cavity barriers, and fire stopping.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of FRAEW and EWS1 assessments for residential and mixed-use developments.
• Provide proportionate, risk-based fire safety advice for façades and external wall systems.
• Prepare clear technical reports and engage with clients and project teams.
