Senior Fire Safety Consultant

Location: South East (North or West of London)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance and benefits

Shirley Parsons has partnered with a growing consultancy that is hiring a Senior Fire Safety Consultant. The role involves delivering fire safety services to a diverse client base across the South East, with potential national travel. This position is home-based and suitable for candidates located North or West of London, with flexibility for client site visits.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting fire risk assessments in various premises, including complex and sleeping risk environments.
• Providing expert advice compliant with fire safety legislation and guidance, such as the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and Building Safety Act 2022.
• Mentoring fire safety consultants through assessments and quality assurance.
• Delivering fire safety training to clients.
• Supporting clients with general health and safety needs, including inspections and audits, occasionally.

Candidate requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience in fire risk assessments in complex and sleeping risk premises.
• Level 3 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent.
• Accreditation with IFE, IFSM, FRACS, or IFPO on a Fire Risk Assessors register.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, British Standards (e.g., BS9999, BS9991), and guidance documents.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to work independently and in teams.
