Job summary

Purobuild is seeking a Senior Fire Technical Advisor in London to provide expert fire engineering and building safety advice across real estate projects. You will lead technical due diligence, support remediation, and review external wall systems, leveraging strong onsite experience.

The role offers a high level of autonomy, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and opportunities to mentor junior colleagues while contributing to client relationships and business development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering, Building Sciences or related discipline.
• At least 7 years fire engineering experience, ideally within the real estate sector.
• Strong onsite experience in fire safety inspections, remediation and technical assessments.
• Proven experience in technical due diligence and peer reviews.
• Excellent knowledge of external wall systems, fire safety regulations and the Building Safety Act.
• Strong communication, report-writing and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert fire engineering and building safety advice, drawing on strong onsite experience.
• Undertake technical due diligence, desktop reviews and peer reviews, identifying risks and recommending solutions.
• Review fire safety installations, remediation works and external wall systems.
• Advise on fire safety legislation, design guidance and Building Safety Act requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support the development of junior colleagues.
• Contribute to client relationships and business development activities.
