Job summary

Hoare Lea invites applications for a Fire Engineer or Senior Fire Engineer to join our Fire Engineering team in the UK, with roles across Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester or London.

We focus on world-class fire safety design for buildings and offer training, development, and a supportive environment. Travel to projects in the UK and occasionally internationally is expected, with a generous benefits package, including private medical cover, a 9-day fortnight, and up to 30 days of annual leave.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Engineering, Building Services, Maths, Architecture, or Physics, with a keen interest in Fire Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety design and fire modelling software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• IT literate with experience in evacuation and fire-modelling tools.

Responsibilities

• Work within Hoare Lea's Fire Engineering team to design fire safety for buildings.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on UK-based projects.
• Understand UK regulations and contribute to design workshops and client meetings.
• Travel to project sites in the UK and occasionally internationally as required.
