Orange Appointments Ltd is partnering with a global specialist consultancy to recruit a Senior Fire Engineer in London. The role offers true technical autonomy on world-class projects such as Battersea Power Station and Heathrow Airport, with a hybrid working pattern and a discretionary bonus.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in fire engineering consultancy, strong PyroSim/FDS/Pathfinder skills, and a CEng progression mindset with UK standards knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fire engineering consultancy is required.
• Solid modelling skills with PyroSim, FDS and Pathfinder.
• Performance-based design expertise and ability to lead projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and related specialisms.
• IFE or IFSM membership and client-facing confidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire engineering strategies from conception to completion.
• Manage fee proposals and client relationships.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers to grow the team capabilities.

What you will bring to the table:

• 5+ years in fire engineering consultancy with a relevant degree.
• Solid modelling skills (PyroSim, FDS, Pathfinder) and performance-based design expertise, with the ability to lead projects from conception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of UK legislation and specialisms like smoke, evacuation or structural modelling.
• Enthusiastic, driven and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
• IFE or IFSM membership, CEng (or working towards it) and client-facing confidence.
