Hunter Dunning Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to lead complex fire engineering projects from design through delivery in the West Midlands.

You will be a degree-qualified fire engineering professional with senior consultancy experience delivering UK fire-engineered solutions for both new-build and existing buildings, collaborating with clients, architects and statutory authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Senior-level fire engineering consultancy experience.
• Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartership.
• Experience delivering UK fire-engineered building solutions.
• Strong client-facing, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Develop fire strategies, reports, calculations and technical documentation.
• Undertake smoke, evacuation and CFD modelling.
• Complete fire dynamics and structural fire assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development.
• Review building designs, develop compliant fire-engineered solutions and participate in client and design team meetings. The role also involves applying UK fire regulations, guidance and project-specific requirements.

Role & Responsibilities
