ScottishPower is hiring a Senior Fire Control Assurance Specialist to carry out site Fire Management documentation audits to meet compliance with Fire Legislation.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Collate findings from completed Fire Risk Assessments, provide recommendations, and monitor progress of recommendations.
  2. Provide documented evidence that recommendations from assessments are followed through to completion.
  3. Manage an established web portal system to track progress and provide monthly reports to the Fire Control Manager.
  4. Assist with Fire Legislation documentation and compliance audits while providing specialist advice to field-based risk assessors.
  5. Support post-fire incident investigations and communicate with site managers on behalf of the Fire Control Manager.
  6. Support the improvement of fire safety and quality assurance programmes.

What you’ll bring

In-depth knowledge of Fire Legislation and demonstrable experience in the completion of Fire Risk Assessments and the coordination of Action Management. Knowledge of Fire Protection Systems and Technology is essential.

We’re looking for a proactive individual with problem-solving skills, good IT skills (including databases), and excellent soft skills in stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing. Good written and verbal communication skills and high organization are required.

Qualifications in Fire Management, NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Fire, and Fire Risk Assessment (Level 4) are advantageous.

This role will require travel to ScottishPower sites across the UK; therefore, an active full driving licence is necessary.
