Job summary
Allsaved Ltd. is seeking an experienced Estimator & Design Engineer specializing in Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems.
The role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in estimating, designing, and preparing technical documentation for commercial, industrial, and residential fire protection projects, with strong AutoCAD skills and knowledge of relevant British Standards. The ideal candidate will design systems in accordance with codes, prepare equipment schedules, and coordinate with
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of proven estimating and designing fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for detailed engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of BS5839 Part 1 and Part 6, BSEN15004, LPS1204, and BAFE schemes.
- Experience with hydraulic calculations and fire suppression system design is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
- Carry out site surveys and perform material take-offs and labour calculations.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate system designs with architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors.
- Provide engineering support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
