Job summary

Hall & Kay is seeking an Installation Manager for Fire Alarms in Central London. You will lead installation and commissioning engineers, plan projects from inception to completion, and ensure budgets and timelines are met.

You will manage labour resources, collaborate with clients, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Strong leadership, communication, and certification in fire alarm installation are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Project Management, Fire Alarm technology or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in fire alarm system installation and project management, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm technologies and installation practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Organisational and planning abilities with attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and team.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Relevant certifications in fire alarm installation or project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of installation and commissioning engineers to drive performance and development.
• Plan and coordinate installation projects from inception to completion within timelines and budgets.
• Oversee labour scheduling and allocation to ensure the right skills are available for each project.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to determine best fire alarm solutions and methods.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor project progress and address issues promptly to keep on track.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the installation team to troubleshoot problems.
• Manage inventory and procurement of installation materials and equipment for upcoming projects.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and budgets.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to improve processes.
