Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is supporting a Birmingham-based fire and life-safety company to recruit an experienced Fire Alarm Team Leader. You will lead a team of engineers, oversee servicing and fault-finding across addressable, conventional and GENT systems at commercial sites.

The role is full-time and permanent with a salary of £40,000–£43,000, plus overtime, on-call earnings, a company vehicle and ongoing manufacturer training.

Qualifications

Must have full UK driving licence.
Previous fire alarm engineer experience.
Experience with addressable and conventional systems.
GENT experience desirable.
Strong servicing and fault-finding knowledge.
Experience mentoring or leading engineers.
Commercial site experience.
Good understanding of BS 5839.
Experience with multiple manufacturers.
FIA, IPAF, CSCS/ECS or City & Guilds desirable.

Responsibilities

Leading and supporting a team of fire alarm engineers.
Servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of fire alarm systems.
Working on addressable, conventional and GENT systems.
Planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites.
Supporting engineers with technical issues and fault-finding.
Checking completed works and maintaining high standards.
Carrying out site visits and supporting engineers when required.
Ensuring works comply with BS 5839 and current regulations.
Completing service reports and documentation.
Supporting the training and development of engineers.
Assisting with planning and coordination of engineering workloads.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Team Leader to join a well-established and growing fire and life safety company covering Birmingham and surrounding areas. Due to continued expansion and increased customer demand, our client is looking to add an experienced engineer to lead and support their engineering team.
