Job summary

Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in the UK is seeking a senior accountant to manage accounts preparation for a portfolio of audited clients and to oversee complex consolidation work.

You will train and supervise junior staff, work with Directors and Partners, and help deliver strategic departmental ambitions including technology adoption, while ensuring high quality, timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or equivalent with corporate audit experience.
• Experience working with UK statutory accounts and consolidations.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS reporting.
• Experience supervising or managing staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts preparation for a portfolio of audited clients.
• Oversee preparation of complex consolidated financial statements.
• Train and mentor junior staff to support development.
• Work closely with Directors and Partners to deliver assignments on time and within policy.
• Ensure deadlines and budgets are met and communication is effective.
• Provide high-level technical advice to clients.
• Support department growth and strategic objectives.
