Job Description

Senior Financial Planning Analyst job (FTC) with a well-established Glasgow based organisation for an initial 9-12-month period.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking analysis of areas of financial risk, budget variance, business growth or any other financial support required by the business
  • Designing, updating, and continuously improving the provision of information including appropriate KPIs, benchmarks and trend analysis to support informed decision making
  • Working with Finance Managers and key stakeholders to monitor programmes against Business Plan/budget and provide commentary for reporting
  • Supporting in the preparation of Monthly Management and Annual Statutory Accounts and related support documentation in conjunction with appointed auditors
  • Provision of completed reporting packs for review at a level appropriate for submission
  • Preparing revised forecasts for financial reporting and business planning
  • Carrying out financial modelling to appraise the impact of projects/initiatives/business decisions in various areas of the business
  • Developing new financial planning processes, monitoring, and updating existing processes as required
  • Support the FP&A Manager and deputise where required

The Individual:

  • Qualified Accountant (e.g., ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW)
  • Strong financial planning and management accounting experience
  • Available within 4 weeks’ notice
